Thank you to all our parents who joined us for our March Principals' Coffee! We discussed VGA testing results, plans for the 2023 - 2024 school year, and discipline practices within FCPS and at Lemon Road.
This week, Ms. Ender's 5th grade class was recognized by Library Services for participating in the Global Classroom Project! This is an exciting honor and a new banner was delivered to our school to make their hard work public. I am also in awe of the student leadership being modeled and practiced by our Student Council Association! Our officers facilitated the March meeting with all our classroom representatives this past week and it was fantastic.
Our 4th graders had a great field trip to Jamestown, Virginia to support their Virginia Studies content knowledge. This Friday, our Kindergartners are heading to the National Zoo. Please remember that all students are to wear their Lemon Road polo on field trips.
Thank you for your continued support, it means the world to your child's teachers and the Lemon Road staff! Have a great week!
Lemon Road is planning for next year! In order to monitor class size and hire the very best staff, we need to know plans for our families. Please take a moment to complete the student/family intent form available here: https://lemonroades.fcps.edu/student-services/student-intention-form. Rising kindergarteners or new families to Lemon Road, please complete this form: https://lemonroades.fcps.edu/student-services/new-student-registration.
The Lemon Road Kindergarten Orientation is scheduled for Tuesday, April 18 at 8:30 AM. We encourage parents to bring their future lion to this event!
Identifying and appreciating the good in others is a core tenet of the Other People Matter Mindset. This isn’t always what comes naturally. Often, it’s easier to blame others for our problems or find flaws in others to use as excuses for our own jealousy, bitterness, or resentment. The problem is that this negativity usually leads to problems – for ourselves, for the other person, and for our relationships.
