Silent No More, Overdose Prevention Initiative: Outreach on Invisible Dangers (O.P.I.O.I.D.)

United States Attorney’s Office Eastern District of Virginia in partnership with Drug Enforcement Administration

Featuring a series of experts including family members who have lost a loved one to overdose, law enforcement, federal prosecutor, mental health expert, medical doctor, former substance user in recovery

  • The raw stories of young people who became addicted to opioids and how substance use disorder affects their relationships and their lives
  • The testimony of family members who lost loved ones to overdose deaths
  • Real life information about what these drugs look like, where they come from, and how fentanyl is being used to make fake pills sold on the street
