Eagle Express - March 3, 2023

Greetings, Braddock Families!

Hope this message finds you and your family well. As springtime is quickly approaching and the month of March is here, we would like to provide you with an update regarding our Braddock renovation project. Our renovation team is in the process of finishing the Main Office and 100-corridor suites. The timeline for completion is the second week of April. Once those areas are completed, the renovation team will begin on the following:

  • Removal of Main Office trailer
  • Leveling and grass seeding of the back field, where the Eagle’s Nests/trailers were located
  • Creation of the new field area, to include a walking path
  • Expansion of Kiss-N-Ride lane
  • Final pavement of both the small parking lot (near SACC) and large parking lot, to include expansion of additional parking

The total renovation project will be completed by the end of the school year, with a few repairs being completed during the summer. Our grand opening of Braddock Elementary School will take place in the Fall of the 2023-2024 school year.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE

Parking Lots & Walk Paths will be Paved Over Spring Break

Over spring break, both parking lots will be paved by our renovation team. Therefore, we respectfully ask you to not park your car in either parking lot over Spring Break. If you choose to do so, you are doing it at your own risk and the possibility of being TOWED. Thank you for your cooperation.

PTA Updates

Braddock Sponsorships - YOU CAN HELP!

Do you have any favorite businesses in Annandale? Do you know of businesses that want to help the Annandale community? Do you work for or own a business that gives to charities? Then please share those business names and contact information (preferably email address). You will help guide the PTA's outreach and fundraising campaign.

We plan to contact the businesses that you share and offer them a chance to become a PTA Sponsor! In return they will get a beautiful Braddock PTA Sponsor Sign to hang in their business, their name added to our sponsor list and a thank you letter that includes the donor information for tax purposes.

Together, we can increase Annandale's investment in Braddock students and help all of our Eagles SOAR!

Summary: Please email Ms. Dowling at hmdowling@fcps.edu with the names and contact information for any business you think might want to help sponsor the Braddock students!
