Attendance Matters!

As we head into the final months of the school year, please remember that attendance drives everything! It is tied to almost every aspect of school performance and future outcomes.

Both EXCUSED and UNEXCUSED absences count against your child’s attendance total. Missing 10% or 2 days a month can affect a student’s academic success. Please try to set appointments, sport activities and vacations for after school, during breaks or in the summer to prevent interruption in the student’s learning.

Please remember to notify the school when your child will be out.

National School Social Worker Appreciation week

This week we are celebrating our amazing School Social Workers; Shannon Stapleton, Jeanette Alvarez, and Rachel Meyer. We are so grateful for all the work they do for our families.

FCPS Principal Evaluation Parent/Guardian Feedback Form

On Monday, March 13, Falls Church HS parents/guardians will be contacted through email with a link to the FCPS Principal Evaluation Parent/Guardian Feedback Form Online. This questionnaire is part of the Performance Evaluation Program and offers parents/guardians an opportunity to provide anonymous input about various topics related to our school. These topics include instructional leadership, school climate, management (human resources and organizational), communication and community relations, culturally responsive and equitable leadership, and professionalism.

The questionnaire will be collected online between March 13 and March 24. When you receive an email from FCPS Surveys, please take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire. Your opinions matter!
