Dear Lake Anne Family,
As we move into the second half of the school year and gear up for fun spring activities we wanted to remind everyone about the 6th Grade Basketball Game against Forest Edge! Lake Anne teachers will face off against Forest Edge teachers in the staff game AND our 6th grade students will face off against Forest Edge students. In addition our 4-6 grade students will help us to cheer our teams on as members of the Splash Squad. Finally, the whole school is participating in ST Math Madness to see which school can log the most minutes. We are asking the students to log as many ST Math minutes as they can throughout the month.
We hope to see everyone at the game on March 17 at South Lakes High School!
Additionally, please remember that March 2 is an early release day and March 3 is a student holiday!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mrs. Stewart, Principal
Dr. Rogers, Assistant Principal
Next week we will celebrate Read Across America Week at school with some fun Read Alouds and activities! Here is a preview of what we will be doing.
Please note the date on the flier is incorrect and will be updated to April 24 once we receive new signage from the company.

The Fairfax County School Board approved a calendar for the 2023-24, 2024-25, and 2025-26 school years at their February 9 meeting. Learn more about the approved calendar.
The first day of the 2023-24 school year will be Monday, August 21, and the last day will be Wednesday, June 12.
Developing a school year calendar is a balancing act, involving multiple factors that must be considered. Community input is one of those factors, and we appreciate our community for being involved in the calendar development process.
