Students will be able to:
- have a snack in the cafeteria and hang out/play games
- participate in an activity in the 7th grade gym
- To participate, students MUST sign up in Schoology

- For Kids: PTA Movie Night - Lyle, Lyle Crocodile
The Hidden in Plain Sight (HIPS) program is an interactive program for adults only to be educated about the signs of risky behavior in teens and young adults. It touches on drug and alcohol use, mental health concerns, eating disorders, risky sexual behaviors and more. Parents/Guardians will be guided through a presentation that opens their eyes to what is right in front of them. This program includes many examples of “red flags'' that indicate risky behavior. We are in a time where it is crucial to be informed about possible risky behavior and ready to act. The officers will include up to date statistics and local trends, and share the experiences they have had in our community identifying risky behavior and helping to put kids on the right path to a healthy life. Let’s open the door to communicating with our teens!

MOVIE NIGHT! February 24th 6:30 – 8:30 PM will be a Movie Night at Irving, sponsored by the PTA. We will watch Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile, and everyone is welcome. It’s free to attend and no sign up is needed – just come. However, we need 10 adult volunteers to chaperone the event. At the same time as the movie, we will have a showing of “Hidden in Plain Sight” by the West Springfield Police, in Barker Hall. The is an adults-only presentation that helps parents to identify risky youth behavior.
