This is Us, Multicultural Night
The Island Creek Elementary Staff and PTA are excited to invite you to our first This is Us Multicultural Night to be held at the school on Friday, April 28, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. The This Is Us event will be a celebration where our students and families can come together to learn about the variety of cultures, countries, and traditions represented at Island Creek.
Island Creek Elementary is fortunate to have numerous countries and cultures reflected through our students as well as families who have traveled or been stationed abroad, and throughout the United States. We have activities planned for the This Is Us event that will enable the Island Creek Elementary school community to connect and learn more about their fellow classmates and their families through their cultures, travels, food, and traditions. Each child will receive a passport that can be stamped as they travel around the world during the event.
We’d love for you to contribute something from your country of heritage or from a country you know well. If you wish to prepare an activity or simply attend the event, please register online by Friday, March 24. You don’t need to register online if you have completed the paper registration form sent home in your child’s Thursday folder.
Contact Jane Horowitz at 571-642-6300 or via email with any questions.
