As a reminder, students will be released two hours early next Thursday, March 2. Woodley Hills will dismiss at 1:30 pm. There will be no school on Friday, March 3, which is a school planning day.
Classes will resume on Monday, March 6.
We are pleased to announce that our school will be hosting a Scholastic Book Fair, which will take place from March 6th-March 10th at the Woodley Hills Library. We will also have a family night from 3:30-7:00 on March 9th. The book fair is a favorite of students and helps raise funds to keep the library stocked with current, popular and quality literature. Volunteers are crucial to the success of this event. We hope that you can offer your time and talents to help students discover the power of books to bring us together. Please sign-up, if you’re available to help us with our upcoming Book Fair. We will need help in the following ways:
- Advertising
- Decorating
- Setting up the Fair
- Helping shoppers at the Fair
- Packing up the Fair

Career Day at Woodley Hills Elementary School (WHES) will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023. We hope to expose our students to a wide range of careers and to help them develop an awareness of the many facets of the career world. Additionally, we would like to help students make a connection between great character traits and careers.
In order for our career day to be a success, we need parents and other community members to volunteer as presenters. The presenters will:
- Donate his/her time at our Career Day (8:45 a.m.-11:00 a.m.)
- Prepare a 20 minute presentation on his/her career.
- Bring some sort of visual aid such as a power point, tools/equipment/materials to show during your presentation.
We know that our WHES parents and community members have a wealth of information to share with our students. Please volunteer if you are available. You can also help by referring a friend or relative who might be interested in presenting at our Career Day. If you are interested, please complete the form below or pass it along to a friend or relative. This will be a rewarding experience for you and everyone!
