Calendar Reminder!

Club Pictures Reminder!
Club Picture Day is Wednesday, February 22nd. If you are a member of any of the following clubs, your pictures will be taken for the yearbook: Let Me Run, Safety Patrols/Officers, Green Team, Equity Team, 5th & 6th Grade Chorus, Science Olympiad, Math Counts, 7 Year Club, WGBW News, Strings, Girls on the Run, Savage Panda, Not Just Dance Theater Club, Band, Chess Club, Wellness Team and Leadership Team. Bring your best smile!

In order to bring you inside our school to see what our pandas are up to each week, we are happy to present to you GBW Happenings! This weekly slideshow will house pictures from different classes, events, and programs throughout the week. We hope you enjoy!
This was a very bust week for students. From celebrating the 100th day of school, dancing the night away at the iHeart Panda Dance, to catching some rays while catching up on some reading, our pandas have a lot to be proud of! Check out more pictures from our week here!

Girls on the Run
Registration is now open for GBW's Girls on the Run Spring season. Practices will take place at GBW after school on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4:15 - 5:30pm. The season begins March 6 and ends with a 5k race the weekend of May 20. If you have any questions or are interested in coaching/volunteering, please contact coach Tracy Magwire or site liaison Suzi Masten.

Read-A-Thon is winding down at GBW!
Greenbriar West Elementary PTA families, we are holding a Read-a-thon and we really need everyone to participate. If you have not already done so, please click on this link to activate your reader’s personal page:

Restaurant Night Save the Dates!
Supporting GBW Restaurant Nights is an easy way to have dinner for your family ready while supporting the GBW PTA! Here are the dates you need to put on your calendar for the remainder of this month and the month of March:
February 21 – Jason’s Deli from 4 to 9pm (15% giveback with mention of GBW PTA in store or use of QR code in the flyer)
March 2 - Noodles and Company from 4 to 8pm (25% giveback with code GIVING25 online or in store)
NEW! March 24 – Chuck E. Cheese in Herndon from 3 to 9pm. (20% giveback when ordering at the register and mentioning Greenbriar West). Look for Chuck E. at dismissal time on March 24!
Spotlight on Learning:
POG sticker Contest
Calling all GBW artists! All students are invited to participate in a Chantilly Pyramid Sticker Design Contest, where they will design a sticker that represents a skill from their favorite Portrait of a Graduate attribute. Students will submit using a google form, or turn in paper submissions to Ms. Quigley.
In March, students and teachers will vote for their favorite designs. The winning designs will be printed and distributed at our Chantilly Pyramid Spotlight on Learning event, on April 25th. Information about how to submit a design will be posted to Schoology in the Library Course. Flyers went home in students Thursday folders this week!
