Kindness Matters Spirit Week

Join us for a schoolwide Spirit Week to celebrate kindness! As with any Spirit Day at SEES, there is no obligation to participate and/or students can also choose to dress in school colors (blue and gold) in lieu of dressing up.

Date Reminders 

  • February 20: Holiday (George Washington’s Birthday and Presidents’ Day).  No school for staff or students. 
  • February 28: SEES Spelling Bee.
  • March 2: Two-Hour Early Release. Students will be dismissed at 2:05 p.m.
  • March 3: School Planning Day. No school for students. 
  • March 8: PTA meeting, 6:30 p.m., SEES cafeteria
  • March 16: Heritage Night.  Details coming soon!
  • April 3-7: Spring Break for students and staff. 
  • April 13:  Two-Hour Early Release/End of 3rd Quarter. Students will be dismissed at 2:05 p.m.
  • April 14: Teacher Workday.  No school for students.
  • April 21: Eid al Fitr Holiday.  No school for students or staff. 

Resources for Families

Ms. Garg and Ms. Laden, our school counselors, have created a website to share information and resources to help you support your child.  Families can log in with their child’s fcpsschools.net email address and password to view information related to parenting, organization and learning skills, coping skills, and much more!  Please contact your school counselor if you are looking for additional resources or if you would like to discuss how we can help support your child. 

Eating Disorders - Parent Information

Eating disorders are behaviors that can lead to serious health problems. These behaviors can begin as a child, and affect both girls and boys. When discovered early, eating disorders are treatable. In 2013, Virginia passed a law requiring every school system provide information to parents annually about eating disorders. This information is given to parents of students in the fifth through twelfth grade and is available here.
