Dear Parents,

We continue to have construction in our neighborhood.  Please do be note that on Macon Street, there are multiple house construction sites. These sites are located on Macon Street and a new one on Lumsden.  Some options to park and walk to Kent Gardens would be to do the following: Park your vehicle heading towards Karlson Street or further down Macon heading towards Broyhill. Avoiding the intersection of Lumsden and Macon would be wise for this interim period. It will be a slightly longer walk, but lately the weather is on our side.  Also kiss and ride has been going smoothly - also another safe option! to drop off or pick up your child.  Safety and mindfulness for the neighbors is key. Thanks for your consideration!

February is Black History month. This month we will celebrate achievements of African Americans as well as recognize their central role in U.S. history. Learn more about the heritage months, celebrations, and traditions celebrated in FCPS.  Learn more about Black History month.

TEACHER LOVE!

Our teachers and staff are truly the backbone of our school, and we want to shower them with love. The KGES Wellness Committee has shared that teachers love it when there is coffee/tea available, occasionally including a small snack for them in the lounge.

We would like to show #Teacher Love.  You can bring in coffee/tea, snacks, bags of mini candies, whatever goodies you think might help sweeten their day.  You can also help stack the staff lounge with paper plates, cups, napkins, or other items. Please choose a slot to volunteer and drop off in the Staff Lounge by 8am on Wednesdays to show some love and support for our fabulous teachers and staff.  Thank you in advance for supporting our school!
