He’s also set a goal to get 1.8 million families (in honor of the 18 procedures he has had) across the country to learn Hands-Only CPR. Plus, when your student completes all the missions, they’ll earn Finn’s Lifesavers Award & they get to DUCT TAPE their PE TEACHERS to the GYM wall! We are excited to announce the Scripps National Spelling Bee is returning to McNair Upper ES. Each of these events will be held during the school day. On February 22nd, we will be holding the Classroom Spelling Bee. All McNair Upper ES students are eligible to participate in this event. The winner(s) of this event from each class will advance to the Schoolwide Spelling Bee on February 27th. Both Bees are closed door events and parents are not allowed to attend. Detailed information about the Bees was sent to families on Monday, February 6th. If you do not want your child to participate or have questions about the Spell Bees, please email Mr. Credle at cmcredle@fcps.edu.
With Tutor.com through Schoology, FCPS students are able to get learning help at any time, even from bilingual tutors! Students in FCPS meet with tutors thousands of times each week to practice reading, prepare for an upcoming math test, write computer programs, study for the SAT, or to get feedback on scholarship essays–all at no cost to their families! If you haven’t already, we encourage you to take just a few minutes to connect with a tutor with your child. More info about Tutor.com in FCPS is available here.
