Wellness Day February 2
Mark your calendar for our next Wellness Activity! On Thursday, February 2, 11am-1:30pm, the Health and Wellness Committee is inviting the PAL therapy dogs back to visit students and staff. We are expecting Caspian, Raven, Livius, Sadie, Sydney, Max, and Daisy. Throughout the year, the Health and Wellness Committee will continue providing fun activities to help students relax, manage stress, and promote mental health.

Friday Breakfast Station
The PTSA organizes a weekly Friday Breakfast Station during the year stocked with contributions by fellow McLean HS families. The Friday Breakfast Station is set up in the front office, and teachers & staff are grateful each week for your donations. Mock SAT and ACT Tests
(February)
The McLean PTSA & EC Tutoring are partnering to offer the SAT and ACT practice tests. These tests are available to students at area schools for $20.
*** Please remember to identify yourself as an MHS student on the registration form to ensure that the PTSA receives credit; the fees support our programs.

Student Programs
MHS Black Student Union Fundraising
This Black History Month, the McLean High School Black Student Union is hosting a Double Good Popcorn Pop-Up store that opens Thursday, February 2nd at 5pm and closes on Monday, February 6th at 5pm. Double Good is a fundraising platform that sells gourmet popcorn that ships directly to addresses, while also raising money for organizations. The BSU club was founded and started last year and our club runs activities, events and discussions to cultivate an inclusive space. One of our plans includes a field trip to the Black History museum this year. To cover costs of transportation, we have created this double-good store for the club. This 4-day sale is 100% contactless and 50% of the profit is allocated to our club. This product ships directly to homes within 7-10 business days. We greatly appreciate all purchases! School Counselor Appreciation Week Feb. 6-10
Next week is School Counselor Appreciation Week. Please encourage your students to write a thank you note to their counselors to show their appreciation. You are welcome to drop off a thank you note, gift card, gift to your counselor at the front office or via email. Thank You for your support!
PTSA Volunteer Opportunities
eNews Co-Chair and Members
Responsible for sending weekly PTSA e-newsletter. Share relevant information, promote events and enhance parent engagement. Proof-reading skills are a plus.
eNews Proofreader: Review draft of e-newsletter to test links, catch typos, and verify consistency with format standard.
eNews Publisher: Use GovDelivery tool to enter prepared content, images, links and .pdfs provided. Follow committee developed format standards. Send a test version to the proofreader and incorporate changes. Schedule final version in the tool for publishing at 10:00AM on Wednesdays.
Training will be provided and you will be working in a team who will help and support, as needed. You can signup for just a month or longer depending on your schedule. Email us at enews@mcleanptsa.org if you are interested.
Volunteer for Class of 2023 ANGP
We need volunteers to help celebrate the Class of 2023 with an All Night Grad Party! Let us help our seniors end their high school career on a high note while making forever memories with their classmates with a variety of entertainment, games, great food, prizes, and more to send our seniors off with a big bang!
