Kiss and Ride Reminders

  • Please use the designated Kiss & Ride areas: Door 5 (in the back of school, accessible on Edison Drive) and Door 13 (Van Dorn Street side of the school).
  • Have your student ready to get out of the car.
  • Pull up as far as you can; do not drop your student off in the road.
  • Give yourself enough time to arrive in case of traffic delays.
  • Please watch your speed on school grounds – the speed limit is 10 mph. Students and staff are walking in the parking lots or using crosswalks to Franconia and Van Dorn.
  • Please be kind to other drivers and students.
  • Consider dropping off your student no later than 7:50 AM. It will be an easy in-and-out with much less congestion.

We appreciate your assistance to keep Edison HS safe.

Parking

No parking in front of the building in the bus lanes from 8:30 AM until 1:30 PM. While the lanes may seem empty, they are in constant use with buses leaving and arriving frequently during that time period.

Student Parking:  We have had many students parking on school grounds without a pass; this has been causing a problem with not enough spaces for staff and visitors to the building.  When other FCPS employees come to Edison for meetings, there has not been any parking.  Also, our Academy students from other schools have had difficulty attending class because there has been no parking spaces; this cannot continue.

Students must purchase a parking pass to park on school grounds/campus—NO EXCEPTIONS.  The price is set by the county and is currently $150.00.

  • It is first come, first serve and when we reach our limit then no passes can be purchased.
  • Purchase parking pass through MySchool Bucks.
  • Security will receive notification of payment.
  • Student will then come to the security office, fill out form to register car,  and then student receives parking pass.
  • Parking pass must be visible and always displayed while on school grounds.

Students must park in designated section for students; the designated location is the entire section/side lot adjacent to the traffic light (left side). Students may not park in the middle lot where the trailers are located.

Effective Monday, January 30, 2023, cars will be ticketed and/or towed if no parking pass is visible.  All expenses associated with towing will be the responsibility of the student’s family.  If the car is ticketed, the fine is $25.00, and it becomes a student obligation that must be paid.
