IB Ceremony

Dear Atom Nation,

It was amazing to have our IB Diploma candidates from last school year recently visit our current students and share their experiences with their first year of college and how the IB Diploma prepared them for the rigors of university coursework. I was truly astonished by the accomplishments of these students and the wisdom they shared with our students!

Over the next week or so, our counselors will be meeting with our current 10th graders to select courses for next school year. This is a perfect opportunity to inquire about the IB Diploma, or even consider taking some IB courses. I always encourage students to appropriately challenge themselves in the courses they take. I recommend students and families check out our Academic Advising page to support the course selection process.

Director of Student Services

Students are encouraged to take the test because it is a valuable career assessment tool which can help identify which career is best for each student. Though the test is developed by the Department of Defense, it is not just for those going into the military. It’s a great start to finding the perfect career for students by highlighting those skills which students naturally have. To sign up for the ASVAB test you may go see your school counselor or contact your local recruiter, Staff Sergeant Meas at 703-424-8923.
