logo

Dear Little Run families,

We are proud to present our new Little Run Roadrunner logo! Thank you to all the students who engaged in the process of thinking critically about how our new logo could best represent the values of our school. Many of the ideas conveyed that Little Run is a special place where all students are happy, safe, and seen. We are truly excited that we were able to support their vision. A special thank you to our student contest winners, Lianna Tedrow, Gabe Tacuri, Megan Vasquez, and Alexa Phan, who met with Jeff Lonnett, a graphic artist and educational Specialist in the Office of Advanced Academics, to share their ideas and to integrate their work into the final logo. We hope in years to come all of our students can look back at the logo and see their extraordinary gifts and talents represented.

Digital Consent

At Little Run, our teachers will use a variety of digital resources to support student learning and promote communication and collaboration with students and families. Some of the digital resources your child may use this year will require your consent before they can be used. You can find our school’s list of the resources that require parental consent here.

Included on this page is also a link to a form where the enrolling parent or guardian will need to indicate whether or not their student is allowed to use the list of digital resources this year. This page also provides more information about how FCPS carefully reviews digital resources for approval and why we must request your consent before using certain tools. We encourage you to complete the parental consent for digital resources form as soon as possible, as your child will not be able to use the digital resources until we have received your permission.

Please reach out to our Technology Specialist, Jackie Oehrlein, jioehrlein@fcps.edu, if you have questions or concerns about the digital resources we’ve chosen to use this year.

Attendance Reminder

If your child is going to be absent for the day, or late for any reason, please either call the school attendance line at 703-503-3535 before 9:00am, complete our online attendance form, or email the attendance office at littlerun@fcps.edu.

If the school does not receive notification from the parent, the absence will be unexcused.
