We hope that everyone has a safe and Happy Holidays!! It was a quiet week among athletics at Annandale but excitement comes to the office as a new member of the Annandale community joins us! Director of Student Activities Brandon Sutphin and wife welcomed their first child Carson on December 17! Carson plans to be at a lot of Annandale events in 2023 and hopes that the Annandale community joins him in supporting the Atoms!

Atoms Athletics Highlights
The only action this week saw the varsity boys basketball team come away with an all around team effort in their victory over Yorktown Tuesday evening. They continue their winter break schedule as they look to defend their George Long Holiday Tournament Championship starting Tuesday, December 27 at 4:30pm at Wakefield.
Varsity girls basketball travels to Baltimore Wednesday and Thursday to play in the 695Hoops Holiday Tournament.
Wrestling gets back on the mat Friday and Saturday in the Cavalier Classic at Woodson HS.
Gymnastics, Indoor Track, and Swim/Dive pick their season back up after the New Year.
We have officially finished our fall seasons with many of our Atoms student-athletes earning postseason All-District and All-Region recognition. These student-athletes worked hard and their achievements should be acknowledged! Check out the recipients using the link below:

Live Streaming
Please note that for the last year and a half, Fairfax County Public Schools paid for a countywide subscription for all schools and their communities. Unfortunately, FCPS will no longer be paying these fee. All of our events that take place on our stadium field and in our gymnasium will continue to be streamed live on the NFHS Network, but will now have a pay wall that the consumer will need to pay for.
Prices - $11.99 per month or $79.99 for an annual subscription.
