Dear Stenwood Families,

Today was an exciting day for our 5th and 6th grade students - the Battle of the Books!  We are so proud of all our classes for their hard work and teamwork, and a special congratulations to Mrs. Shepherd’s class who claimed the Stennie as their prize!

Positivity Project: Self Control

PP Picture Logo

This week, we are focusing on Self-Control. You have the ability to control your emotions and behaviors. You think before you act.

“By constant self-discipline and self-control, you can develop greatness of character.”

                    ~Grenville Kleise

Questions you might enjoy talking about:

  • Do you consider yourself to be a person who has self-control? What things do you do that indicate this?
  • Why is self-regulation important?
  • What happens when your emotions take over? How can you work on developing greater self-control?

Battle of the Books

What an amazing morning we had with all of our students in 5th and 6th grade. Congratulations to Mrs. Shepherd's class for winning the Stenny!

If you missed the Battle of the Books, below is the recording.  Make sure you use the password to be able to view it.  We missed recording the beginning part.  Please excuse any audio and video issues, sound is difficult with this event.  Thank you to our fabulous A/V Bee Club for recording, it was their first big event and rotated through roles.
