PTA Member Meeting - Mon. 12/5 from 5:30-6:30pm in the Library

Join us for a brief member meeting in the SLES Library at the Book Fair! There will be light refreshments and child care.

The SLES Book Fair is THIS WEEK!!!

From December 2 - 9, the Book Fair will be open in the Library from 9:00am-4:30pm.

Volunteers are needed to work the Book Fair! Sign-up: https://signup.com/client/invitation2/secure/1144709791945894028/false#/invitation

* On Monday 12/5, classes will visit the fair and make student wish lists. Students may purchase books during their normal library time, or they may visit the Book Fair at any time during the week with teacher permission. (Students will not check out library books during the week of the Book Fair.)

* Cash, checks, and credit cards will be accepted at the Book Fair. You can also give your child a safe, cashless way to shop the Book Fair with eWallet. With this digital payment option, you create an account for your child and add an exact amount of money for them to spend.  Please be aware that any money remaining in the eWallet account cannot be refunded. It will be carried over for future use or can be donated to the library.

* Books will sell out at the fair, and restocking is limited this year due to supply chain issues. Items can be purchased online, though merchandise may vary between the online fair and the in-person Book Fair.

Got Talent? D3 Showcase Co-Chair Needed!

The PTA is searching for a volunteer to join our D3 Showcase team as co-chair.  This individual will lead the talent show planning and day of coordination with current co-chair Holly Ferry.  The talent show is being scheduled for March/April.  Please email Kimberly John at volunteers@slpta.org if interested.

Library Volunteer Help Wanted

Did you know students checked out over 7,000 books during the month of September?  Ms. Snow, our fantastic school librarian, is looking for daily volunteer assistance to check in and shelf returned books and assist K through 2 with book checkout. Please consider signing up for a time slot (or several) using the Signup link below -- there are slots each day of the week.  A volunteer background check is NOT required to help in the library.
