Book Fair Thank You

Thank you so much for your support during the Fall Scholastic Book Fair! Our Author Visit and Family Night was well attended, and we set a new record for books sold! Due to the community's generosity, we will use the proceeds to buy many new books and other items for the library! I also wanted to extend a special heartfelt thanks to all of the wonderful parent volunteers who devoted countless hours to make the Fair run smoothly; I couldn't have done it without you! The Spring Scholastic Book Fair will take place March 27-31, 2023, which is the week BEFORE Spring Break! Please save the date!

Thank you!

SCA Spirit Week

ESSER III Community Conversation on December 13

Thanks to everyone who provided input in October on ESSER III funding–federal funding which was allocated to FCPS to address the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on students and student learning. Community feedback indicated that there is a general unawareness of the impact of ESSER funding and a perceived lack of communication around how the funds are being used.

To help address this, Superintendent Reid and Sloan Presidio, chief academic officer, will host a Community Conversation on ESSER on Tuesday, December 13, at 6:30 p.m., at the Gatehouse Administration Building in the Café. Please stay tuned for more details. Visit BoardDocs for a detailed update on ESSER.

Terra Centre has used ESSER III funds to purchase math manipulatives, reading materials, and provide math training to staff.
