We Love Our New Kindness Board!
Franklin Families and Students,
Good afternoon! As the cold weather has arrived in Northern Virginia this week, our students and staff are hard at work ensuring that Franklin MS is a warm and welcoming environment for everyone that comes through our doors. Our Student Services team worked with our Falcons to create the “Throw Kindness Like Confetti” board pictured above. I am proud of the work that is happening every day at FMS to keep our students at the center of all that we do, to hear every voice, and to value every strength.
Our amazing PTA met earlier this week. Thank you to those of you who were able to join us. If you were unable to attend, a recording of the meeting is available here, and a link to the slide deck is available here. We are grateful for your continued support of the Franklin PTA.
Always feel free to contact me directly at dpwright@fcps.edu if you have questions, concerns, or if there is anything our team can do to support you.
Thank you for all that you do for your student and enjoy the weekend!
With Gratitude,
Dustin Wright
Principal

Early Dismissal
To minimize disruptions to the classroom learning environment, please have your student bring a note to the main office before school starts detailing the student name, date, time you will pick up your student and the reason for the early dismissal. A pass will be issued to your student to be released from class, and your student will be in the office at the scheduled release time. A parent must come into the office to sign the student out. Please be prepared to show a picture ID. Any person not listed on the Emergency Care Card may not pick up a student from school without written permission from the parent. Please do not use the attendance line to request early dismissal.
