As we wrap up week two, our coaches and student-athletes are working hard to make the upcoming winter season a successful one! We look forward to seeing our Annandale community out in full force supporting our winter athletes!

Atoms Athletics Highlights
Our girls basketball and wrestling programs had their first action of the season this past week. Girls traveled to take on Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart where they showed their grit and determination versus a school that had multiple college bound players. The future for this team under first year head coach Kenny Gregory looks promising!
The Grappling Atoms wrestling team held their first scrimmage versus multiple teams. This is a young team but one that holds a bright future for coach Josh Damico and staff!
Boys basketball holds their first scrimmage at home on Tuesday evening versus McLean.

Live Streaming
Please note that for the last year and a half, Fairfax County Public Schools paid for a countywide subscription for all schools and their communities. Unfortunately, FCPS will no longer be paying these fee. All of our events that take place on our stadium field and in our gymnasium will continue to be streamed live on the NFHS Network, but will now have a pay wall that the consumer will need to pay for.
Prices - $11.99 per month or $79.99 for an annual subscription.

Fall Play - Argonautika
November 17-20 - Argonautika: The Voyage of Jason and the Argonauts: Don’t miss our Fall play, Argonautika: The Voyage of Jason and the Argonauts. Over 50 students from all corners of AHS have worked for two months to bring you this fresh retelling of the classic Greek myth, Jason and his quest for the Golden Fleece with a modern twist! Join the fantastic voyage and encounter Hercules, Hera, sirens, centaurs, and more—familiar mythological figures imbued with unexpected character and depth. Discover humor, love, and the unimaginable as Tony Award winner Mary Zimmerman reveals the humanity in the most monstrous of creatures in this unforgettable journey for the ages. Tickets are only $5 for AHS Students and Staff and $10 for all other patrons. Rated PG-13 for mature themes. Tickets will be available starting November 1.
