Senior Parent Night

A huge thank you to all the students and families that came to our Senior Parent College Night last week! We were able to share with families the process for supporting seniors through the college application process, as well as hear from admissions representatives from local universities and NOVA. We hope our students will continue to take advantage of our Thursday after school College Application Workshops and our FAFSA Friday’s during lunch!

Director of Student Services

Early Online College - Spring Session: Early Online College (EOC) allows current high school juniors or seniors the opportunity to take up to two tuition-free college courses. EOC courses for the spring semester begin on January 31, 2023, and end on April 24, 2023. Courses are for college credit only. These courses were selected because they meet the requirements for most of NOVA’s associate degrees as well as being highly transferable as general education requirements for most colleges and universities. Completed applications are due by 5:00PM on December 31. Detailed information can be found at https://www.nvcc.edu/online-early-college. Please watch the recorded NOVA Information Session (Passcode: Xi7*axmj) to find out about the application process and eligibility requirements.

Transcript Requests for College Applications & Scholarships: Seniors need to request official high school transcripts ONE MONTH prior to application deadlines. Please take into account winter break. Students who have early January application deadlines should submit Transcript Requests before the end of November. The Student Services staff needs adequate time to process the large number of requests that we receive. For step-by-step instructions and forms for submitting Transcript Requests, go to the AHS College & Career Google site
