Check out what is happening at Orange Hunt: We had an incredible day on Thursday, November 10, 2022 celebrating our Veterans.  Thank you to all the parent volunteers for helping us to make this day special.  Our student performers did an amazing job and our students were engaged at all the Celebration Stations.  It was a fun day had by all!


Outstanding Employee Awards

Nominations are now open for the Outstanding Employee Awards! To submit a nomination for an Orange Hunt Elementary School Outstanding Employee in one of the categories below, please complete the nomination through this Google form link.  You may nominate one employee at our school or multiple employees (one individual may only nominate one employee per category.)

All that is required for a preliminary nomination is a paragraph or two about how this employee demonstrates exceptional work in the criteria for that category. The google form link has more information regarding the criteria for each of these awards and the eligibility requirements are below.

The deadline to submit a nomination is November 18th.

Western Governors University was proud to award Orange Hunt Elementary teacher Heather Kattera with a $2,500 Master Your Future Scholarship.  Ms. Kattera is working toward her Masters In Curriculum and Instruction in WGU’s School of Education. WGU was thrilled to award a well-deserving teacher like Ms. Kattera a scholarship to master her future.

  


Screening and Identification for AAP

Our virtual Screening and Identification Session will be held on November 15th at 9:00am and 5:30pm. During this session, we will explain and answer questions about the screening process for part-time school-based and full-time Level IV services. (Grades 2-6). 2022 Parent Involvement Survey

All parents of school-aged children and youth with disabilities who receive special education services in Virginia are encouraged to complete the Virginia Department of Education’s annual Parent Involvement Survey. The survey will remain open through December 16, 2022.
