National School Psychologist Week November 7-11

  • This past week was National School Psychologist Week.  We are thankful for the important work school psychologists do to help all students thrive. We are very appreciative for Dr. Megan Runion and Mr. Freddie King our West Potomac School Psychologist.  Learn more from the National Association of School Psychologists.

PTSA News

  • We had a wonderful turn out for our November PTSA meeting centered around Fentantyl use in Fairfax County schools.  Our panel was excellent at providing valuable, potentially life-saving information, and we had our biggest PTSA turnout ever - over 77 people (kids & adults) in attendance.  Look for more critical content coming in future meetings as well.
  • There are so many ways to help our PTSA this holiday season!

Five Guys:

  • It's FIVE GUYS time again! The more burgers you eat, the more money you help us raise for the PTSA!  Grab your Five Guys after school snack and/or dinner on Wednesday, November 16 from 3:30-7:30pm and Five Guys will donate 20% of the proceeds back to the PTSA! I think they should rename themselves the COOL GUYS, don't you?!

Poinsettia Sale:

  • Nothing screams the holidays like bright red Poinsettia plants and do we have some gorgeous ones for you!  The PTSA will be taking online pre-orders for these beauties from November 14-Dec. 1 with pickup on Dec. 3.  The location is TBD and will be sent out closer to the date. Make sure to place your order early as these sold out FAST last year.  These make the perfect gifts for clients, dinner parties, housewarming, office decoration, churches, pre-schools and your own home! Thank you in advance for your support of the PTSA!

Amazon Smile

  • Did you know that your Amazon shopping during this holiday season benefits the PTSA as well?  Just make sure to list "West Potomac High School PTSA) as the Charity under "Charity List" and Amazon will give back 0.05% to our PTSA for all qualifying purchases!  And since Amazon shopping is a part of most of our routine (no shame😉), it's the easiest way to help the PTSA!

Please join the PTSA today if you've not already done so.  It's quick and easy -- just click here.
