Native American Heritage Month

Native American Heritage Month is a time to celebrate rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories and to acknowledge the important contributions of Native people

It is also a time to raise a general awareness about the unique challenges Native people have faced both historically and in the present, and the ways in which tribal citizens have worked to conquer these challenges. Learn more about the heritage months, celebrations, and traditions celebrated in FCPS.


High School Afternoon Solutions 
Every Monday from 3-4pm

Our first Afternoon Solutions was a great success. We had many students come and get help in all academic areas. There are teachers from all major content areas there as well as National Honor Society tutors. See flyer below for more information. We are looking forward to seeing more students there to take advantage of this great resource!

Multilingual Family Engagement Night - Wednesday, November 30th, 6:30 - 8:00pm

The faculty and staff of Robinson Secondary will host a Multilingual Family Engagement Night, on Wednesday, November 30 from 6:30 pm until 8 pm. Doors will open at 5:30 pm and dinner will be served ahead of the event. Translators will be available in multiple languages. Additionally, childcare will be offered so that the whole family can attend and enjoy. This is an opportunity for parents and care givers to meet school faculty and staff, get technology support, and learn more about academic and extracurricular programs at Robinson.

New ESports Club at Audrey Moore REC Center

eSports

Esports Club: Join our interactive gaming club that focuses on providing a sense of community and foster digital citizenship skills. Gamers will be in a social setting where they are able to learn and gain tips from others plus coaching on strategic game play while in a competitive atmosphere. Our goal for participants is that they make new friends, have fun playing games and feel safe in an inclusive environment.

The upcoming session will focus on the Nintendo Switch platform with Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros.

Congratulations to Our LLS Student Visionaries

Grace Enders, Alexa Haynie, Gracie Lewandowski, Ambreen Mariyam, Riya Pudasaini, Madigan Rustia, Gelila Solomon have been accepted as candidates for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2023 Washington D.C Student Visionaries of the Year campaign. Each student participating in the Mid-Atlantic region’s annual scholarship and fundraising challenge was nominated by our Board of Trustees, Leadership Team, school administrator or LLS staff member for their strong leadership, commitment to community involvement, dedication to philanthropic work and passion to find a cure for blood cancers. 

Student Visionaries of the Year is a national 7-week challenge through which high school student leaders raise funds and awareness for the fight against blood cancers. This year’s campaign begins on Saturday, January 21, 2023 and culminates with our Grand Finale Celebration on Saturday, March 11, 2023. The funds raised benefit the LLS mission: to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. 


Rho Kappa is Holding Movie Nights!

What: We are again distributing free Thanksgiving Food Supplies for you to take home and prepare, including frozen turkeys, potatoes, side items and butter
