It's time for School Pictures on Monday, November 14th!!

Fall Picture Day at Mount Vernon Woods is Monday, November 14th. Envelopes to pre-order pictures have been sent home with students.  You can also order your picture package online by visiting the Barksdale website - www.barksdalephoto.com. Each student has a personal online passcode that you will need to place orders online.  This code is located on your child's picture day envelopes.  Please send the envelope back to school even if you are not ordering pictures or if you ordered online.  Thank you. 

AAP Level IV Screening Parent Information Night

An AAP Level IV Screening Parent Information Night will be held on Tuesday, November 15th at 6pm in the library.  This is an opportunity for 2nd – 6th grade parents to learn more about our AAP Levels of Service & the screening/referral process for full time level IV services. Our AART (Advanced Academic Resource Teacher), will lead the meeting and be able to answer all questions.

Book Fair Volunteers Needed

The Scholastic Book Fair will be at our school November 28 through December 2 and a special Family Shopping Event is scheduled for Wednesday evening, November 30, 5- 7 p.m.  We will be setting up the fair on Tuesday afternoon, November 22 (the day before Thanksgiving break).  Volunteers are the motivators to help any Book Fair become a success.
