Kings Park Lost and Found

KPES lost and found is of epic proportions. Please check the video on TWITTER to browse some of the found items. See something that belongs to your child? Please pop on up and Mrs. Conover can help reunite you with your child's item.

Spookley the Square Pumpkin

#GreatMindsatWork

A very unique pumpkin delivers a special message of tolerance and self-acceptance that's just right for Halloween...and every day of the year.

Our Kindergarteners are using their phonics and phonemic awareness skills to share their thoughts about how they are special too.

"I am special like Spookley because I like to help people"

Impact Aid Form

The Federal Impact Aid Forms went home to Kings Park families on Friday, October 21st.   The survey was distributed to all FCPS families.  We thank those of you who have already turned in your form.

If you have not returned your form, you will find a duplicate copy in your Take Home Folder.  As a reminder, we need a form for each Kings Park student.  Please fill out and sign the form and return the survey as soon as possible.  Thank you.

Book Fair Loose Change Drive for Books:
Nov. 16th – Dec. 2nd

As part of our Winter Scholastic Book Fair, we are holding a loose change drive to purchase books for students with economic need in our school community. Students and families, who would like to donate, may place any amount of loose change (pennies, nickels, dimes, or quarters) or a dollar in one of the “All for Books” boxes located in the main office or library.  Slips will be available beside the boxes for donors to add their name to the “All for Books” display in the Library.  Thank you!

Gift Card Drive

We all need a little extra support sometimes. As we head into the winter season,  we are collecting gift cards to Giant, Walmart and Target.  These cards will go towards helping families access basic needs and supports throughout the school year. If you are interested in helping our Kings Park families, please send gift cards in an envelope attention: School Counseling Office by Friday November 11th.  Questions? Please contact our school counselors Corri Shusterman rcshusterman@fcps.edu or Tracy Rossi tlrossi@fcps.edu  or our school social worker Katie Carroll, kcarroll3@fcps.edu . Thank you for in advance for your generosity!
