Upcoming TCES PTA Pumpkins, Pottery, and Popcorn Night

PTA Logo

Greetings Terra Centre Community!

  • Our 2nd Annual Pumpkins, Pottery & Popcorn event is this Friday, November 4! This email has all the details you'll need. This is a major fundraiser for the 6th grade class and the PTA and was a huge hit last year. As a reminder, students must be accompanied and supervised by an adult throughout the event and cannot be dropped off.

Pumpkin dropping will happen out by door 5 (K-2 walker door) starting at 4:30pm. Pumpkins will be dropped in order as they are brought. Kids will get to say a few "final words" before a grown-up drops their pumpkin off the roof. Pre- registration is closed. Pumpkins can still be brought and paid for on the spot, but pizza ordering is closed. There will be a limited amount of pizza available by the slice.

Popcorn, cotton candy, and more will be available for purchase! We'll also have spirit wear available for purchase. If your child has completed 10 Acts of Kindness (through Raise Craze) by Friday, they'll get a free cotton candy at the event! (See Tom at the Spirit Wear table to collect their coupon).

The outdoor movie will start around 6:40. This year, we'll be watching The Bad Guys (PG). Families with blankets can sit in the front. If you have a beach chair (low to the ground), feel free to sit in the middle, and if you have a big chair, please try to sit towards the rear.

Pottery: If you signed up for pottery, please arrive a few minutes early to your session, and enter/exit through door 3 (Preschool door by blacktop). Pottery will be done in the art room. Be sure to time it so you don't miss your pumpkin getting dropped! If you are in the 6pm session, you'll have to drop your pumpkin before you do pottery. (The pottery sessions and waitlist are full).

Bathrooms will be available in the school, but we kindly ask you to be courteous using them. Grown-ups are encouraged to go with their kids into the building. There are adult bathrooms near the office, and "kid-sized" bathrooms further down the hall towards the teacher's lounge.

Looking forward to an exciting event!
