Every student has the potential to deeply understand and truly love math. This belief helps ST Math become a powerful tool that students are using at Dranesville Elementary School. Our students are developing their conceptual mathematical knowledge through challenging puzzles and non-routine problem solving. Students are able to access ST Math at school and home through Clever.
We have received several creative entries for our 2022-2023 Yearbook Cover! Student artists have just about one more week to submit their entries to the main office. Voting for our yearbook cover will take place from 11/8-11/18.

The FCPS CARES Program is an opportunity for parents, staff, and community members to recognize FCPS employees for going above and beyond to help others and show they care.
Congratulations to Ms. Sam for being recognized as the September 2022 Region 1 FCPS CARES recipient of the month! We are so grateful for all that Ms. Sam does for our students.
We invite you to submit your story, so we can all acknowledge the good work of FCPS employees, specifically at Dranesville.

Do you have an abundance of candy from Halloween? We will be collecting candy for Treats for Troops. Candy will be shipped to deployed service members and veterans. Candy can be dropped off in the Main Office 8:30-4:30 daily Wednesday November 2nd- Friday November 4th.
Native American Heritage Month is a time to celebrate rich and diverse cultures, traditions, and histories and to acknowledge the important contributions of Native people. It is also a time to raise a general awareness about the unique challenges Native people have faced both historically and in the present, and the ways in which tribal citizens have worked to conquer these challenges.
While Día de los Muertos is largely celebrated in Mexico and Latin America, it also coincides with All Saints Day (November 1) and All Souls Day (November 2). These days are celebrated by Catholics, Anglicans, and some Protestants worldwide to honor those who have died and gone to heaven (All Saints Day) and those who may still be in purgatory (All Souls Day).
