Friday, Nov. 11, is a student holiday/school planning day for the Veterans Day holiday. Veterans Day provides a great reason to pause, reflect, and recognize the extraordinary sacrifices our Veterans and their families have made on our behalf, and we thank them for their service.

To submit a nomination for a Sunrise Valley Outstanding employee in one of the categories below, please click on the appropriate nomination link.
You may nominate more than one employee, or employees, across multiple categories. All that is required for a preliminary nomination is a brief statement. Additional information regarding each of these awards, as well as the criteria and considerations, are included within each link.
Outstanding Teacher – a teacher or librarian with 3 or more years of experience
Outstanding New Teacher - a teacher or librarian with less than 3 years of experience
Outstanding Leader – an Assistant principal
Outstanding Professional Employee- these positions could include School-Based Technology Specialists, Technology Support Specialist, Instructional Coach, Psychologist, Social Worker, School Counselor
Outstanding Operational Employee – these positions could include administrative and office assistants, custodial staff, food service staff, Instructional Assistants, Public Health Assistants, Public Health Training Assistants
Note: The deadline to submit a nomination is Friday, November 18, 2022.

The weather looks great for our outdoor festival and movie night tonight on the school playground. Come join over 200 students who have registered to attend! Gates open at 5 pm; cost is $8/student (family members, younger siblings are free).
- Games, music played by DJ Mr. Platts, and a showing of The Addams Family 2 at 6:30 pm.
- Popcorn, candy, beverages for sale. Limited food also available for purchase.
- Visit the PTA Table to sign up for volunteer opportunities. PTA Members, stop by to pick up your magnet!
- Bring chairs, blankets, and flashlights. Dress warmly!
- Children must be supervised; this is not a drop-off event.
- Park in school parking lot, on adjacent streets or across the street in the Atlantic Bank parking lot. Use care when crossing streets.
- No dogs allowed on school premises.

On Thursday, November 10, our students will be participating in a Veterans Day Assembly.
Kindergarten and first grade will take place at 9:45 and second - fourth grade will take place at 10:30. Fifth and sixth grade will be participating in both assemblies.
We are honoring Veterans and Active Duty service from our SVES community during these assemblies and invite them to attend. Please RSVP to Adrienne Burton.
The assemblies will be livestreamed and recorded to be shared with all families.
