Friday Breakfast Station

The PTSA organizes a weekly Friday Breakfast  Station during the year stocked with contributions by fellow McLean HS families. The Friday Breakfast Station is set up in the front office, and teachers & staff are grateful each week for your donations.  We still need donations for this Friday, October 28. Thank you in advance!

Reflection Art Competition Deadline Extended to Oct 28th

The Theme for the 2022-23 School Year is "Show Your Voice!"

Students can submit theme-based artwork in dance choreography, film production, literature, musical composition, photography, or visual arts.  

Submission guidelines and entry forms can be found on Directions and Rules for Submission categories in English and Spanish. Please fill the form online and also submit a copy with your artwork by email. All submissions will be online – submissions are due by Friday, October 28th. If interested or have questions, please contact Reflections Chair, Jayita Basak at reflections@mcleanptsa.org

Mock SAT and ACT Tests

(November)

The McLean PTSA & EC Tutoring are partnering to offer the SAT and ACT practice tests. These tests are available to students at area schools for $20.

*** Please remember to identify yourself as an MHS student on the registration form to ensure that the PTSA receives credit; the fees support our programs.

Start your Halloween celebration this year with The Tartan literary magazine! Thursday, October 27 from 7-8 PM in the McLean High School lecture hall, The Tartan will be hosting a fundraiser that will feature McLean art, writing, and theatre. Students can earn NEHS for submitting writing and ITS service hours for performing at the event; students who submit writing do not need to read their own work if they do not want to. Tickets are five dollars, and there will be a bake sale as well (Halloween candy included)! Come out to support the magazine and get into the Halloween spirit on Thursday!

MHS Band Fruit Sale Fundraiser

Please support the McLean High School Band programs by purchasing fresh fruit from Florida! Orders will be accepted through November 9^th at http://www.floridafruitstore.com/McLeanHSBand for pick-up on Saturday, December 10^th.

Yearbook Picture Taken

9th, 10th & 11th graders - If you missed picture day, your chance to get your yearbook picture taken and receive your student ID will be on FRIDAY, November 4. 

• JUNIORS will check in with their 2nd period teachers and be photographed during period 2.
• SOPHOMORES will check in with their 5th period teachers and be photographed during HT5.
• FRESHMEN will check in with their 8th period teachers and be photographed during period 8.

Wellness Day November 3

Mark your calendar for our next Wellness Activity! On Thursday, November 3, during lunchtime, the Health and Wellness Committee is inviting the PAL therapy dogs back to visit students and staff. Throughout the year, the Health and Wellness Committee will continue providing fun activities to help students relax, manage stress, and promote mental health.

McLean MATH Kangaroo

Math Kangaroo USA is a national nonprofit organization with a mission of helping students love math. This year competition will be held on  Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 7:00PM online. Enrollment date is 9/24-12/15. There is $25 nonrefundable registration fee. Late enrollment is 12/16–12/31 and nonrefundable late registration fee is $35. Create an account if you are a new user.
