Kiss’n’Ride:

Safety Regulations

Middle school certainly does start early, adding opportunities for additional layers of stress as we get our students out the door and to school on time.  However, following the drop off process helps to ensure the safety of all of our kids.  Please remember:

  • Do not drop off anywhere except for in the designated area of the kiss’n’ride loop.  This includes the parking lot of the Masonic Temple next door, Balls Hill Road or 193, anywhere in the Cooper parking lot that is not the designated for drop off, or on any part of Dead Run Rd behind the school
  • Do not let students out in the middle of the kiss’n’ride line and then U-turn out of the line
  • If you arrive at school after approximately 7:28, drop your student in front of the main office entrance so that they can stop for a tardy pass before proceeding to class

Thank you for your commitment to keeping all students at Cooper safe during their commutes to campus, especially with the added complexities of large construction vehicles and the 495NEXT project shifting landscape.

Diwali:

October 24, Celebration of Lights

Diwali is a Hindu festival, celebrated by millions of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains across the world.  It is commonly referred to as the festival of lights since a lot of the celebrations involve big, bold displays of light and color.

Wishing those in our Cooper community who celebrate a Diwali that brings happiness prosperity and joy to you and all your family.

You can learn more about Diwali in this article  .

Employer Match Contribution

Does your employer match charitable contributions? Many employers in our area offer matching fund programs when you donate to a non-profit, like the Cooper PTO. You can easily DOUBLE or even TRIPLE the impact of your donation. Check with your company's HR department to see if you can take advantage of this opportunity.
