Bush Hill Updates - Tuesday, October 25, 2022

A Note From Mrs. Duffy

Thank you so much to all of the families who were able to make it to Community Night last Thursday! We loved coming together to celebrate the people who make Bush Hill such a special community to be part of! I loved trying all of the different foods that are special to our families. We literally were sharing food from around the world! A huge thank you to the staff who made this event a success – and to all of our families for supporting their efforts.

The Bush Hill PTA is excited to bring back the Fall Festival this year--mark your calendars for November 5th from 3-5pm for lots of family friendly fun! During this FUNdraising event, outdoor games, crafts, hot cocoa, apple cider, Bush Hill swag, and more will be available for purchase. Prizes will be won for all ticketed games. Tickets can be purchased according to the following breakdown: 2 tickets for $1, 10 tickets for $5, 25 tickets for $10, and 40 tickets for $15.  A donation of 1 canned good is valid for 5 tickets; donation of more than one canned good is permitted but valid for 5 tickets only one time. Bring your left-over Halloween candy for a candy swap table and wear your (family friendly) Halloween costume one more time! A limited amount of free food is generously being provided by Nando's Peri Peri of Springfield.

We need volunteers and donations of cakes (for a cake walk) to make this event a success! Please sign up to volunteer or donate a cake below:

Please Turn In Your Impact Aid Form

Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact Aid

Youtube video

FCPS is asking ALL families to fill out a Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact Aid. Returning this form is important, because information from this survey results in an additional $3 million in grants each year from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers. Watch this video to learn more

For each school-aged child in your household, please complete, sign, date, and return the survey to your child's school. If Sections 1 and 2 of the survey do not apply to you, just check the box in Section 3. All forms must be signed, dated, and returned by November 4. All responses are confidential.
