No School Monday: Diwali
Remember, we have NO SCHOOL Monday, October 24th, as those who observe will be celebrating Diwali! Diwali is known as the Festival of Lights and marks the victory of good over evil. This is one of the most popular festivals of Hinduism.

PTA News and Updates
PTA Meeting is TONIGHT Thursday, October 20
Our next meeting is October 20 at 7pm in the GBW library. If you can't join us in person, check out our online option so you can listen in to the latest in GBW PTA news. We will discuss more plans for this year, like bringing back the popular I Heart Panda Dance in February.

GBW PTA Fall Membership Drive
The GBW PTA needs you! Have you joined this year?
We have set a goal to get at least 250 members this year, but we can't achieve this without your help!
Why join the GBW PTA? Your membership dues help to provide funding for assemblies, teacher grants, and academic competitions (plus lots more!), as well as allow you to voice your opinion on matters that affect our school.
If we can meet (or exceed!) our goal by October 31, Mr. Blount and Mr. Cook will work on top of the GBW roof! The students will have the opportunity to see their principals hard at work, up on the roof!

Chick-Fil-A Spirit Night Success!
Thanks to our GBW community, we received a check for $360 from our restaurant night at Chick-Fil-A last month! Great job, Pandas!
Moe's Spirit Night on October 27
Next up for restaurant night is Moe's! Moe's Taco Kits are available for preorder from now until Tuesday, 10/25 at 6pm. Order online https://form.jotform.com/212784306197057
Taco Kits will be available for pickup in front of GBW between 5 - 5:30 pm on Thursday, 10/27. Moe's will donate 20% of the sales to GBW PTA!
Parent Volunteers Needed for GBW Math Team
Parent volunteers are needed to help with academic competitions, like Math Counts, Math League, Math Kangaroo, Science Olympiad, and more. Without parent support, our GBW Pandas won’t be able to participate in these events. Local high schoolers with experience are also invited to help our Pandas succeed in these events.
