Impact Aid Survey
Beginning on October 18, FCPS will be asking all families to fill out a Student-Parent Survey for Federal Impact Aid.
Returning this form is important because information from this survey results in an additional $3 million in grants each year from the U.S. Department of Education. These funds are used to support all Fairfax County public schools and centers.
For each school-aged child in your household, please complete, sign, date, and return the survey to your child's school. If sections 1 and 2 of the survey do not apply to you, just check the box in Section 3. All forms must be signed, dated, and returned by November 4. All results are confidential.
Importance of the Impact Aid Survey 2022
Please check your child's Thursday folder today for the survey.

School Pictures/Make-Up Day

Our make-up day for school pictures will be November 10th. If your child was absent or newly enrolled and you would like to pre-order pictures, please use this link: Pre-order Makeup day pictures here.
The "online" code is your child's student identification number.
If you are unhappy with the images purchased, your child should bring the pictures on November 10th to the photographer for a re-take.
Deer Park Yearbooks on Sale!
It's time to order your copy of the 2022-2023 Deer Park Yearbook. Order early and reserve your copy for $18 each until February when the price will increase to $20 each.

Bucky's Fun Run
The Fun Run last Friday was a huge success! Thank you so much to our PTA volunteers, parent volunteers and all those who came out to cheer on the students!

Bucky's 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Barbeque Bash
You are cordially invited to Deer Park's 2nd Annual Bucky's Thanksgiving Barbeque Bash.
When? Wednesday, November 16th
Where? Outside in the tents and front loop
Time? During your child's regularly scheduled lunch time
Menu: Grilled hot dogs, chips and water
We hope you can join us for this FREE fun event for our families.

BUCKY’S FALL FESTIVAL & TRUNK-OR-TREAT! October 28th - 6-8pm
In order for this FREE event to be successful and fun for the kiddos, we need decorated TRUNKS! Please sign-up to decorate your trunk, donate your time or donate items, for the event!
Come cast your vote for the best trunk! Dunk your teachers and Mr. Damato for $1/ball! Games, crafts and more!
Check out our Amazon link under Deer Park Elementary PTA - Bucky's Fall Festival to donate event items like candy, non-candy items and more! The collection bin for the event is in the front office!
Bucky’s Fun Run Fall 2022
WE ARE STILL FUNDRAISING UNTIL NOVEMBER 5! Make sure you are spreading the word that every dollar counts when it comes to fundraising! The students will continue to be eligible for prizes until fundraising closes on November 5, so keep fundraising until the very end!

PTA Reflections Art Contest
Have you submitted your PTA Reflections Art contest entry yet? Here is the link to our Online Submission form!All Submissions are due by October 21, 2022. We are also collecting the physical artworks to showcase at school. The Reflections Committee will be collecting these before school begins on October 21, 2022 from 8:15am-8:40am. Please have your student submit the online form BEFORE turning in their physical artwork, as the online form is the official entry.
