Dear Clearview Families,

The cool, rainy weather from last weekend through early this week has officially been replaced with warm weather and sunny skies.  This, and the changing of the leaves, is what makes autumn in Fairfax, Virginia so special. The temperature can rise or fall over 30 degrees in one day!  Remember to bring a jacket just in case…

Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions or compliments you may have. If you have seen a Clearview staff member going above and beyond fill out an FCPS Cares here.

Have a WONDERFUL weekend and we will see you on Tuesday!

Unity Day, Tuesday October 18

October is National Bullying Prevention Month. In addition to Clearview counselors presenting lessons, we want to invite you to celebrate Unity Day as a school on Tuesday, October 18th.

What is Unity Day?

It is a day to WEAR AND SHARE ORANGE to show unity for kindness, acceptance, and inclusion and to send a visible message that no child should ever experience bullying.

Please consider wearing orange clothing or items (stickers, ribbons, etc.).

Hispanic Heritage Month

Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month by celebrating the histories, cultures and contributions of Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America, starting on September 15 and ending on October 15.

Digital Citizenship Week

Digital Citizenship Week 2022 is October 17-21. Ten years ago, Common Sense Education started Digital Citizenship Week to highlight the importance of helping kids, families, and teachers navigate our 24/7 digital world. FCPS has been celebrating for the past decade with student learning opportunities, spirit weeks, and community engagement events. Over those years, media and technology have changed dramatically. There have also been big shifts in the ways we teach and learn in today's classrooms.

That's why Clearview  will continue to be a leader working on behalf of students and their families in creating a positive culture around how we use media and technology.

Supplemental Food Resource- Snack Pack

Clearview’s Snack Pack Program has started up again for the year.  Snack Pack is a supplemental food resource for families in need.  Small bags of food to be used over the weekend will be sent home on Thursdays or Fridays.  If you would like to participate in this but did not receive a pack this week, please contact Alexis Pozinsky at apozinsky@fcps.edu.
