We're Better Together

Dear Franklin Sherman Families,

One of our school-wide goals this year is to help our students develop their social interaction skills and self regulation skills.  Yesterday, our staff participated in 3 hours of professional development around play!  We learned ways to engage and include all children in recess and strategies to help them problem solve.  And best of all, we had a great time while we were learning together.  Learning should be fun and engaging for students of all ages!

We hope that all families will join us for the PTA Movie Night on Friday.  Children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult for this event.  We will be reminding the students that our school playground rules and expectations must be followed during these events.  Students may not climb on top of the swings, basketball hoops or the sheds.  These behaviors have been observed at a few of our past events.  Students who are unsafe will be brought to parents and asked to leave the event.

Please help ensure that our events are safe and enjoyable for everyone.

Have a great week!

Kathy Quigley, Principal
