 Engineering Systems students participate in the STEAM guitar program developed under National Science Foundation. Music for Life is their partner to facilitate implementation in the metropolitan DC area. Students learn the math and physics involved in the design and operation of a guitar; they then apply this knowledge by building their own instrument and learning to play it. The high school program is based on an electric guitar.

PSAT/SAT Day
FCPS high schools will be hosting the Preliminary SAT (PSAT)/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT) for Grade 10-11 students in fall 2022. The PSAT/NMSQT is offered at no charge to FCPS tenth and eleventh graders. The date for the PSAT/NMSQT in school year 2022-23 is Wednesday, October 12. There will be no Academy classes on this date.

The College Fair is designed to connect high school students with opportunities in higher education. It is one of the largest College Fairs in the region. It features 200 colleges and universities from around the nation as well as representatives from the U.S. Service Academies. Each year the College Fair draws thousands of students and their families. FCPS Early Release on October 28th
Chantilly Academy AM and MID 1 shuttles will run as scheduled. ALL FEEDER STUDENTS MUST RETURN ON THE 11:15 SHUTTLES.
Students that are here ALL DAY can come BUT MUST CONFIRM they have an earlier shuttle to return on since the MID2 shuttle is not running at all.
If your students are planning on staying at their base schools because of a modified schedule, a parent/guardian needs to contact Chantilly Academy regarding their absence.
