Indigenous Peoples' Day honors the histories, cultures, and contributions of Native peoples, past and present. This year, Monday, October 10, is a student holiday (no school for students only) and staff development day.

Please join us to learn more about the Level IV Full-Time Advanced Academic Program available at Forest Edge Elementary School. This meeting applies to families with students in grades 2-6 at Forest Edge.

Where: Virtual meeting on Zoom (We will send a link closer to the meeting time)
Translations: The meeting will be held in English, and we will then send out translated recordings in both Spanish and Arabic.

To ensure a smooth start to our day and begin morning meeting on time, students must be in their classroom at 8:50 AM. The kiss and ride line will close at 8:45 AM. If you child arrives after this, you will need to park and walk them into the building to receive a late pass.
It takes students several minutes to walk from outisde the building to their classroom, especially if they are grabbing a breakfast on the way.
If your child is a walker and received a late pass today, they should leave home a few minutes earlier tomorrow to arrive on time.
Please ensure that your child arrives to the school no later than 8:45 AM.
South Lakes High School - Homecoming Parade Bus
Use this link to reserve a seat on the bus! Buses will depart from Forest Edge at 4:00PM on October 21st. Students must attend with an adult and will be able to walk with Forest Edge Staff and Students in the Parade.
The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a new FCC program to lower internet costs for families with children who have been eligible for free or reduced-price meals within the last 12 months. A qualifying household will receive $30 per month toward internet services and a one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet. Families can check their eligibility and register at AffordableConnectivity.gov or by calling 877-384-2575.
