Federal Impact Aid Survey
Going Home on Tuesday, October 18th
Federal Impact Aid forms are being sent home on Tuesday, October 18th. Impact Aid provides much-needed federal funds for our schools! Please be sure to ask your student(s) for the forms so that you can complete and return the form no later than Friday, October 21st.
We need a completed, signed and dated form for every student in our school, regardless of whether you work or reside on federal property. If you have questions regarding the form, please do not hesitate to call the office at 703-239-4000.

Fall Picture Day
Thursday, October 20th
School Picture Day is coming on Thursday, October 20. Pictures will be available approximately two weeks following our school's photo day. Save time and Pre-order online here: https://vando.imagequix.com/g1000942234
For questions about ordering school pictures, please email underclass@vosphoto.com.
We need 2-3 parent volunteers to assist with Picture Day, who will receive a discount voucher on Picture Day. If you are available to assist, please call the office at 703-239-4000 to let us know. Thank you!

Pixel Can Art Food Drive
Now Through the End of October
What: We are collecting 14-16 oz. sized cans of vegetables and beans
When: Collection of cans starts NOW until the end of OCTOBER.
Where: Drop of your cans and other dry food goods in the boxes by the front office.
Why: We will donate the food to ECHO in Springfield. Before it is donated, students will create a pixel can art sculpture to be displayed for the school.
LBSS Soctober Sock Collection
October 17-28
The Lake Braddock pyramid is participating in Socktober and will be collecting new socks October 17-28 that will be donated to local homeless shelters. Please consider donating new men’s, women’s, and/or youth socks! We will be having a Kings Glen Crazy Sock Day on Wednesday, October 19 as part of our Digital Citizenship Spirit Week.

Where: LBSS Volleyball Game
Cost: $5/Adult; pay at the door or purchase online

Lake Braddock SS Dance Team Hip Hop Dance Clinic
Friday, October 28, 5-8 p.m.
The LBSS Dance Team is hosting a Hip Hop Dance Clinic on October 28 from 5-8 p.m. for students ages 5-12. Learn and perform a tricky dance with the dance team and get a free T-shirt and treat! The cost is $40.
