Cooper News 9/28

Thank you to everyone who contributed items and time to the staff lunch on Monday, September 26th. It was a wonderful treat for our teachers and staff.

Thank you, Parents.

Please Join the PTO NOW If You Haven’t Already

We need 68 more memberships

We have gained a bit of ground on our membership campaign in the last week, but are still in significant jeopardy of not being able to fund our newly adopted budget.  Our PTO membership and donation numbers are significantly lower than last year, and we need an additional 100 members and suggested donations in order to produce our programs for the year.

To date, we have collected $36,566 in membership dues and fees, against a budget of $45,000.  That means we have only funded  81% of our current proposed budget (budget available here.)  Additionally, our current year numbers are 80% of last year’s total dues and donations ($47,161).

There are funding plans to provide curriculum support, academic and after school clubs funds, staff appreciation endeavors, and a robust appropriations process that occurs twice yearly, in direct response to real time needs identified by staff, admin and students.

Please join the PTO and donate today!  Membership is $25/family, plus a suggested $125 donation per student.

To join, go to www.pay4schoolstuff.com , or complete and return to your student’s Advisory teacher the orange PTO membership flyer sent home this week with your student.  Thank you for your support of our Cooper students, staff and parent community!
