Monday, October 2nd was Custodian Appreciation Day. Thanks to our custodians, we all have a clean, safe place to learn, teach, and work. Across the division, Fairfax County Public Schools employs more than 1,300 custodians, field custodians, and building supervisors.

Celebrate Bush Hill Community Night

Join the Panther community for food, fellowship and fun!  Mark your calendar for Thursday, October 20th from 5:30 - 7:30 PM.

Workout Wednesdays is Back!

Students are invited to participate in Work Out Wednesdays by dressing up in their workout gear or sports themed clothing. Our first Work Out Wednesday is Wednesday, October 12. Work Out Wednesdays will occur the second Wednesday of each month. 

Wear Your Costume On October 28th

Students are invited to wear their Halloween costumes to school on Friday, October 28! Costumes should be school appropriate and meet the following guidelines: 

  • No masks
  • No weapons
  • No face paint

We need to be able to see student's faces and students should be able to run at recess and PE. 

This is an early dismissal day - Bush Hill will dismiss at 1:55 PM on 10/28

Low-Cost Internet for Free and Reduced-Price Eligible Students

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a new FCC program to lower internet costs for families with children who have been eligible for free or reduced-price meals within the last 12 months. A qualifying household will receive $30 per month toward internet services and a one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, desktop computer, or tablet. Child Care Assistance Program

The Child Care Assistance and Referral Program may be able to help with your child care expenses.  Applications received through June 30, 2024 are eligible for the following expanded eligibility criteria:

ƒ Families currently looking for work
ƒ Expanded Income
‚ For expanded state eligibility, families with at least one child under the age of five (kindergarten eligible age), are eligible with an income at or below the 85% of the state median.
‚ For County eligibility, families whose children are up to age 13 (under age 18 if the child has special needs) are eligible with an income at or below 350% FPL.
