Great news Floris families! We’ve waited, and it’s finally here. Construction on the new playground for our school community begins today (Wednesday, September 21) and it will last for the next 3-4 weeks. This week, a temporary fence will be placed at least 10 feet beyond the perimeter of the playground to allow work to begin while also allowing for the safe use of our remaining outdoor spaces for recess and physical education classes. Until work is complete and the temporary fencing is removed, the playground is closed during and outside of school hours.
When the Floris playground is complete, we believe our community, especially our students, will appreciate the improved layout and features that this new space will have to offer.
