The Book Fair is Coming!

Bookworm Central logo

Brookfield’s yearly Book Fair is coming!  The Bookworm trucks will soon roll up to our school filled with great books and fun items that will be for sale from Tuesday, October 11 through Tuesday, October 18.  The children will be learning about it in class at the beginning of October, and we’ll be sending home more information in the Tuesday folder very soon.

We need lots of adult volunteers to make our Book Fair a success. Please click on the link below to see if any of our volunteer times fit with your schedule and sign up.  If you have any questions, please email Cathy Wilson, Brookfield’s Librarian at ctwilson@fcps.edu.

Critical and Creative Thinking (CCT) Strategy for the Month of September

Mindset Mapping

Mindmapping in Ms. Alwood's class

Brookfield’s CCT strategy for this month is Mindmapping. Mindmapping helps make visual representations around a central idea as well as provides a canvas for organizing ideas and showing connections. It is a method of visual notetaking that helps students organize information in a unique and personal way.
