September 18, 2022
Dear Beech Tree Families,
We loved having a full week with your children! Time outdoors has been so enjoyable with cooler temperatures on the way. We are seeing students engage in problem solving and learning foundational knowledge about words and language in the classrooms each day.
Our Batman Day was a huge hit! Students and staff wore their favorite superhero wear complete with shirts, capes and gloves. Everyone joined in the fun with uniquely designed bat emblems. Thank you Mr. Skrtic for making this a Beech Tree tradition for all!
As a community, we are excited to announce that our staff is finally complete! Join us in welcoming Sarah Jager, Sunjoo Kim, and Brittany Thomas to our Special Education Team. Additionally, Laura Rozier is our new family liaison. Check out their bios below and say hello when you see them!
In proud partnership,
Stephanie Carpenter & Bridget Louder

Student Rights and Responsibilities (SR&R) Parent/Guardian Signature: September 30
Parents/guardians are required to sign the SR&R annually. They can download and digitally sign the SR&R acknowledgement in ParentVUE. Every parent/guardian with a ParentVUE account will be prompted to digitally sign the SR&R acknowledgement upon login until the acknowledgement has been signed. The name in the digital signature box must match the parent’s or guardian’s first and last name in SIS exactly before the signature will be accepted. Schools will be provided with a resource sheet to assist parents/guardians in using ParentVUE to sign the SR&R acknowledgement.
While use of ParentVUE to digitally sign the SR&R acknowledgement is preferred, parents/guardians may elect to download and print the SR&R Parent/Guardian Signature Sheet from the FCPS public website. If a parent/guardian needs assistance accessing the signature sheet, they may contact their child’s school and ask that the school provide the form. The SR&R Parent/Guardian Signature Sheet is due September 30, 2022. Sample messaging for communicating with families regarding the SR&R signature can be found HERE.
