During our first PTA meeting, we introduced all of our committee chairs and gave them an opportunity to share what is in store for the year. We have a lot of fun stuff planned because of our volunteers—like the Fall Festival! We announced that the Fall Festival will be on Friday, October 28 from 4-6 (it is an early release day). The event will be a ton of fun, but we do need volunteers to help us pull it off. We are all looking for volunteers to help with afterschool attendance and our website. Finally, the garden committee is looking for volunteers to help clean up the garden.
I had a wonderful time seeing our school community at the Welcome Back Picnic. If you had a great time, too, please consider becoming a member of the PTA. One easy way to support the PTA? Save the Date for the Fall Festival! Friday, October 28 from 4-6pm with various games (Yes! There will be Bingo!) and activities set up around the playground at CPES. Pizza will be provided and kids have chances to win prizes and wow the judges in a costume contest, and you could be the big winner in the 50/50 raffle.
But we need YOU to make it happen! Volunteers are the backbone of events like these, so please consider lending a hand. Check out the Fall Festival page for more information.
The rain date is October 29, 12-2pm.
Ms. Pereira and Ms. Coles are planning to convert our community garden into a pollinator garden. The first step is to clean out the garden and we need help!

Neighbors Helping Neighbors is our e-mail group to recieve updates on needs within our community - things such as snacks for classrooms/school clinic, winter clothing, grocery gift cards and more.
