Important Reminders
Arrival & Dismissal Procedures
|
The safety of our students and staff is our priority. Please help us keep everyone safe by following these procedures:
- Our school doors and Kiss and Ride open for students at 8:40 AM. Students should be in school, unpacked, and ready for class to begin by 8:55 AM.
-
Drive slowly when entering and exiting the Kiss & Ride loop.
- Students should enter and exit their car on the passenger side only.
-
Follow posted speed limits on Colts Neck and Steeplechase (25 MPH) and come to a complete stop at the 4-way stop sign.
-
Students should NOT be dropped off at the crosswalks or at the stop signs; they should be dropped off in the Kiss and Ride loop.
- If you arrive late to school (after 8:55 AM), please park in a parking space in the school parking lot and walk your student into the main office.
- If you need to pick up a student before our 3:40 PM dismissal time, please do so before 3:00 PM (the office is busy preparing for dismissal and buses arrive after 3:00 PM). Students will not be called to the office until the parent/guardian arrives. You will be directed to our computer system to complete the sign out process.
- If you need to change the way your child should be dismissed, please email the teacher and the main office staff (hwesofficestaff@fcps.edu) before 12:00 PM. Please try and keep these changes to a minimum and/or for an emergency.
We appreciate your help in keeping our students, staff, and community safe.
