AAP News
Ms. Samira Newman, our Advanced Academic Resource Teacher (AART), has planned some upcoming information sessions. Please use the link to see the Fall Newsletter with important dates and information.
Information Sessions:
Our in-person Parent Information Session will be held on September 27th at 5:30 PM. During this session, we will provide information on the continuum of AAP services for all students at Wolftrap Elementary. (Open to all families, Grades K-6)
Our in-person Screening and Identification Session will be held on October 7th at 8:30 AM. During this session, we will explain what full time services are and the process through which students are screened (Only for families of students in Grades 2-6). See our website for details.

Students Rights and Responsibilities Parent Acknowledgement Please log on to your ParentVue account and sign to acknowledge review of this document or sign and return the signature page. THIS FORM MUST BE COMPLETED BY SEPTEMBER 30,2022.
Annual Notice of Survey, Records, Curriculum, Privacy, and Related Rights and Opt-Out forms Complete this form if you want to opt out of sharing your student's information (e.g., student directories, FCPS media).
Family Life Education (FLE) If you would like to opt out of some or all the FLE lessons for your child’s grade, please complete the appropriate form.
The following forms should only be filled out if you are updating information:
Emergency Care Form Please have at least one emergency contact on this form. You can also make changes directly on SIS ParentVue.
Health Information Please submit if you have changes to make to your child's health information.
Identification of Military connected Students form identifies students who have a parent in US uniformed services.
Homeless Student referral identifies homeless students in FCPS to provide support.
Remember to mark your calendars for our annual parent event, Back-to-School Night, on Thursday, September 15th from 6:00-8:00pm.

Our Volunteers are AMAZING!
It took an entire village of volunteers to make WTUS successful! Thank you to everyone who pitched in- each of you made a difference in helping us throw one incredible Wolftrap community party. TONS of gratitude goes our to all of you! We are SO proud to be a part of this pack!
PTA Membership Drive
WTUS also serves as an opportunity to introduce the Wolftrap Community to all the benefits of the PTA. As of today 42% of families are members of the PTA as are 85% of WES teachers. We are grateful for your support!
Remember, becoming a member does not mean you are required to volunteer. There is no wrong way to get involved - anything you give, whether its time or money, will support our school. PTA membership expires annually, please join for the 2022-23 school year. For volunteer opportunities click here.

There are five great options to choose from, including a pull over hoodie to help keep you warm when the weather gets colder.

Registration will open 8:00 AM on Monday, September 19th.
Each Fall and Spring, the PTA offers after-school programs for all grades and interests. Links to access registration for After School Programs will go LIVE on the PTA Homepage, the PTA After School Programs page as well as the PTA Facebook Group page. Classes fill up quickly, so be sure to register early.

Want to have a delicious meal while raising money for our school?
Our "Dining for Dollars" program is back! Next Tuesday, September 20, order from Plaka Grill, a Greek restaurant in Vienna, from 5 PM until 8 PM. Plaka Grill is located at 110 Lawyers Rd NW.
Mention you are ordering with Wolftrap Elementary and a portion of the proceeds will go to the school! It's that easy!

Hello Sixth Grade Parents! We will be showering our teachers and staff with the love they deserve this year by doing a different teacher and staff appreciation initiative funded by a different grade each month. For September, the Sixth Grade will be sponsoring a pantry stock -- we will purchase various beverages and snacks that the teachers and staff can enjoy.

Fire Prevention Week
The Vienna Volunteer Fire Department is teaming up with the National Fire Protection Association Ⓡ to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Fire Prevention Week™.
