Dear GBW Families,
We have had a successful second week of school! Classes are building community and settling into routines. In an effort to help ensure that our school is safe and secure we are reminding the community that parents are not allowed to walk children to their classrooms. Please drop your child off at one of our entrances and we have staff to help guide students to their classrooms. If you have a special reason to be inside the building during arrival or dismissal, you will need to check into the front office first using your drivers license. Thank you in advance for helping to keep our students, staff, and community safe.
As a quick reminder, there is NO SCHOOL tomorrow (Friday) or Monday, as we celebrate Labor Day, but we look forward to seeing our pandas back on Tuesday, September 6th.

Friday Clubs Interest Form
We are excited to offer the following clubs this year (descriptions of each club are provided on Google Form):

Student clubs meet on Friday mornings from 8:15 to 9:00. Transportation is not provided by the school and needs to be arranged by families! These clubs are free of charge and open to any interested students in the assigned grade levels. To sign up, click the link to complete the GBW Student Clubs 22-23 form! Let Me Run Returns to GBW!
This is more than a running club! LMR inspires boys through the power of running to be courageous enough to be themselves, to build healthy relationships, and to live an active lifestyle. 4th grade- 6th grade boys are welcome to join us, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:45, right here at GBW, for this 7 week program, culminating in a 5K race! We will begin on September 20th, so make sure to register by September 16th at https://northernva.letmerun.org/teams.

If your child would like to purchase breakfast or lunch, please review My School Bucks. The service is easy-to-use, private, and secure. Once an account is established, parents can check the fund account anytime from their computer. Menus are now live and available here.
K&R Parking Reminders
Friendly Reminder: Please do not park in the handicap spots during Kiss and Ride. We have many students in wheelchairs and with other accessibility needs that require access to our limited handicap parking spaces. Also please do not block the Kiss and Ride crosswalk.
